What they are saying about Bankrupt Heart

Dana Smith delivered satisfaction to this reader at every turn. Luxurious narrative, crisp dialogue, humor and provocative insight into character that is an absolute reflection of the times in which we live. Fun stuff for me and, if you’ll forgive the metaphoric punch line, a great return on investment.

I think you have the makings of a contemporary classic! Whether the general public will agree with me or not, I can at least promise any careful reader a a romping good read!

Milton Gonsalves    Author of Right and Reason Philosopher

I hear your voice so loud and clear that made me want to continue to read and see where it was all going to go. I had no expectations and was pleasantly surprised. It was a good, fun read. Clear and thoughtful. I feel that the content was perfect for me right now. I totally resonated with all of the foibles. I can honestly say, I needed it!!

Lori Mottie, San FranciscoBayArea Entertainer and Musician, Cotton Candy Express

I just finished reading Bankrupt Heart, and I enjoyed it. I liked Ry Waters’ character – All in all, it was a good read. Congratulations!

The authors style is fluent with words of descriptions that made me feel like I could visualize most scenes, I could almost “smell the roses”. …maybe more on the line of me wanting to turn the page to see what the characters did with their lives, how they cleaned up their life and
moved on. It is a beautiful book in the way you describe and set up the scenes for the reader.

Linda Fritz, Entrepreneur Wife and Grandmother

Jackie stuns in her depth. Surprises here too, of course, but mostly just a continuing humanity. She makes the book work. She is seductive enough to make me care about Ry.

I don’t know. Don’t think it was me, but could have been. Best of luck
      Dana
